With the project Valdemarsgård – modern Boliger in the middle of Vordingborg ESC Buildinggroup develops as General contractor A future-oriented residential quarter in the center of Vordingborg, Denmark. The project stands for efficient project management, modular timber hybrid construction, and sustainable urban development.
Role of ESC Buildinggroup
As general contractor, ESC Buildinggroup is responsible for the overall implementation – from coordinating the planning partners to managing module production, construction, and turnkey handover.
The combination of serial prefabrication and clearly structured construction organization results in:

- high quality of workmanship
- reduced interface risks
Modular timber hybrid construction
Valdemarsgård is being modernized Timber hybrid construction This is achieved by combining prefabricated modules with load-bearing timber structures and other structural elements. This construction method enables:
- Shorter construction times due to a high degree of prefabrication
- precision industrial manufacturing
- reduced construction site emissions
- Sustainable material selection with a focus on CO₂ reduction
Sustainability and open space concept
At the center of the complex, a green courtyard area will be created with play areas, a pétanque court, community gardens and an orangery.
In addition, a sustainable rainwater management system with infiltration areas and ponds will be implemented. Energy efficiency, material quality, and social sustainability are integral components of the project planning.
Project status
The project is scheduled to start in 2025/26. ESC Buildinggroup is implementing the project as general contractor using modular timber hybrid construction methods, aiming to create economical, sustainable and durable living space in an urban context.
