Mayor Michael Seiding Larsen and investor Maycon A/S participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Valdemarsgård residential construction project in Vordingborg. Following the granting of the building permit, the project now enters the next phase: the construction of the timber-framed building shell for a total of 51 apartments.
On the property at Valdemarsgade 96–100 in the center of Vordingborg, Valdemarsgård is being built – a new residential quarter consisting of three buildings arranged around a green, communal courtyard with an orangery, playground, and pétanque court. The 51 apartments are designed for seniors, families, young couples, and singles alike. Seventeen of the units are planned as penthouse apartments.
The basis for the start of construction is the development plan (local plan C17.03.01) approved by the city of Vordingborg, as well as the building permit that has since been granted. The project developer is the Danish project development company Maycon A/S, based in Næstved.
Following the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony, the actual construction phase now begins: the building's shell, constructed using timber framing. Numerous prospective buyers have already registered their interest in the future apartments.
