The "Tresor Hotel Superior" is an ambitious project that is transforming the historic old state bank in Schwerin into a top-class boutique hotel. While preserving the unique character of the historic building, the renovation is being carried out using modular timber construction.
This involves removing the top floor and adding precisely manufactured timber elements - a particularly challenging undertaking that requires the use of a crane due to the limited space available. Each component had to be carefully transported and assembled by hand. The listed structure requires the preservation or faithful reproduction of many existing materials.
This project contributes to the revitalization of Schwerin's cultural heritage by combining traditional architecture with sustainable construction methods. The Tresor Hotel Superior will thus become a showcase for future-oriented hotels that value ecology, energy efficiency and exclusive design.
